11. Glove Compartment Quarters
If you always have a roll of quarter in your glove compartment, you’ll never be caught without change at a meter that doesn’t take credit cards (they do still exist).
12. Direct Savings Deposit
Deposit a portion of your paycheck (whatever you can reasonably afford up to 20%) directly into your savings account. You’ll build a savings without having to actively do anything.
13. Taxi Trick
No, we aren’t suggesting you take Homer’s advice, but if you take a picture of the Taxi’s plates before you get in, then if you leave something in the car, you’ll be able to identify which taxi it was.
14. Handy Scissors
A pair of scissors in each room you frequent will make your life easier.
15. Pre-date Exercise
Assuming you have enough time before your pre-date shower, do a workout. It will help calm you down. This works well for interviews as well.
Place artwork you like on your walls. It is actually known to enhance moods.
Change your sheets at least weekly and make your bed right. It’s amazing what a difference it makes.
18. Positive Observation
Where ever you are, try to find one thing you like about it. Maybe it’s the view outside the doctor office’s window or even just a nice pen on a table. Find something nice to focus on.
19. Childhood Activities
Revisit your favorite children’s games, but turn them into drinking games.
Reading a book–a real book not your kindle–before bed can lead to better sleep. Using phones and tablets right before bed can actual lessen your sleep quality.
